We’re excited to announce that Snugg has been chosen to join the 2022 cohort of the Lloyds Banking Group Launch Innovation Programme.

Snugg is a fast-growing Scottish startup committed to making home energy efficiency simple and affordable for everyone. We’re helping UK homeowners reduce their carbon footprint and save on bills—one home at a time.

We’re excited to announce that Snugg has been chosen to join the 2022 cohort of the Lloyds Banking Group Launch Innovation Programme.

Run by FinTech Scotland, the programme offers ambitious FinTech companies the chance to run a proof of concept in partnership with Lloyds Banking Group. It focuses on three key strategic challenges facing Lloyds: sustainability, colleague support and customers’ financial lives.

With a mission to make energy efficient homes simple and affordable for everyone, the Snugg proposal focused on sustainability and helping Lloyd’s customer’s financial lives. With over 17 million owner-occupied homes in the UK, only one in eight of them currently meets the energy efficiency standards necessary for the UK to hit its target to be net-zero by 2050. With energy prices now skyrocketing, there's an added incentive for many to improve the energy efficiency of their homes. But while many homeowners want to make their homes more energy efficient, they often find the market complex, fragmented, expensive and uncertain.

The platform we're developing simplifies the process of making energy efficiency changes to your home. Using sophisticated data science, it develops a tailored plan and gives users access to the grants, green finance and trusted installers to make the improvements they need. Critically, we also build ongoing relationships with customers to help guide them on their energy efficiency journey that's likely to last several years.

We believe that private sector finance - from banks like Lloyds - is going to play an increasingly prominent role in the net-zero transition over the coming years. The Launch Innovation programme will give us access to business leaders, designers, industry experts and mentors. And it will be an incredible opportunity to test our platform with one of the UK’s biggest banks.

We’re delighted to have been selected to take part in the Launch Innovation Programme 2022 which will help take Snugg to the next level.
