Snugg has partnered with consumer champion Which? to launch a groundbreaking free home energy planning service.
The collaboration aims to empower households with the knowledge and confidence they need to upgrade their home’s energy efficiency resulting in lower energy bills, more comfortable homes and less environmental impact.
What will the partnership achieve?
The UK is working towards the ambitious target of reducing its carbon emissions to net zero by 2050. But a significant part of those emissions (20%) comes from the energy used in our homes, which are some of the least energy efficient in the developed world.
Clearly, we must make our homes more efficient to achieve this goal. But for many people, the path to sustainability feels complex and confusing, with uncertainties around where to start, who to trust and how to budget.
Our partnership with Which? aims to address these concerns head-on. By incorporating Snugg’s market-leading retrofit assessment technology with Which?’s trusted consumer advice platform, the Which? home energy planning service is able to provide households with a personalised, step-by-step plan to upgrade their home’s energy efficiency. Simply by entering their postcode, Which? users can access a retrofit plan that’s tailored to their specific home, including improvement recommendations, savings estimates, grant matching and options for trusted local installers.
Snugg CEO, Robin Peters, emphasises the significance of this collaboration: “At Snugg, we’re committed to helping as many people as possible upgrade their homes. With just a few clicks, thousands of consumers will now be able to identify and implement suitable home energy efficiency improvements that will have a lasting impact on their homes and the environment.”
Which? Energy Editor, Emily Seymour, says: “We recognise that navigating the world of home energy efficiency can be daunting. This service is a game-changer, offering a free, reliable and personalised tool that empowers people to make informed decisions, reduce their energy bills and contribute to a greener future.”
